Halloween Hellraiser!

If you were there you know, if not, don't sleep on the next one. Halloween went straight through the night and carried into the day. Sick skating, costumes, free money, goonism, aggro parents, bbq and perfect weather added up to fun times. Some pics here courtesy of lensmen Tony Momento.

Also check this article here for more info on who did what and all that.

Big up to Slap!=

Making it to print during the advent of the last days of printed Slap, our favorite skate mag gives us some juice. Peep our fellow New York label Hopps, too.

TANNER SKATE PARK JAM!

There was a huge turn out this past weekend at Tanner Park. The two day event coincided with a carnival full of rides, pirates, junk food and some pretty terrible bands playing. The skating was nuts. The demo and the contest day was filled with never been done tricks. Lots of kids walked away psyched. Congratulations to all the winners. A big thanks to all sponsors involved; Special Sauce, Hazel, Chapman, Bodega, Substance, Oakley, Red Bull, Vans, DC and anyone else I may be neglecting to mention. See here for some quick snaps. More to come. Check the Tanner page soon.

Two NYC are events for July!

Chopper Dave is throwing his anual jam up in the Bronx at the Throgs Neck Park. Come thru for giveaways, best trick jam, two great djs on the decks

and much more. Always a good time.

Our friends at The Richmond Hood Company in Staten Island are throwing an event with our boy BSA as ringleader.

The day starts at the Staten Island Ferry Terminal in Staten Island and continues around a few spots and a rendouvous

at Richmond Hood Company. It's a free ride there from NYC both ways via ferry and a day of skating about, no permits just

a straight up alleycat style. Staten Island always had a fair share of spots and skilled skaters but has been a bit off the radar.

The last year or so has seen a big push of skaters out and about there again. Get out there and check it out!

Go Skate Day NYC 2008.

Prize Fighter Cutlery would like to make a public service announcement to better skateboarding worldwide. A pandemic has infested itself into our rapidly growing cummunity. It is known as the 'MALL GRAB' (aka 'HAND MONGO' aka 'BRIEFCASE)'. It is our duty to educate the greater skateboarding public about this. Steps can be taken to correct this travesty. Please look at the following photos and pay attention to detail. The guity parties faces have been obscurred where needed in order to protect the innocent. If you know someone who is infected, please reach out your good hand and bless them with this wisdom.

HOW NOT TO HOLD YOUR SKATEBOARD

All pics are courtesy of Tony Memento. Thanks much! For some video footage check Pheo's footage at the HAZEL SKATEBOARDS site.

And now a public service message from Lurker Lou. He would like to share his knowledge with you. Listen to him. He is a wise man teaming with wisdom.
